Removing Corruption from file properties

Summary: When you transfer documents from one site collection to another many times there is different core metadata associated to the 2 site collections. One occasion when a file is downloaded from one site collection and then uploaded to another the file will be corrupt and will not let you edit the file. The metadata is conflicting causing issues. Below are the steps to fix this.

Instructions:

1. Download the file to your desktop
2. Open the file, on the file tab under check for Issues select Inspect Document
3. Select Inspect
4. For the Document Properties, select remove all
5. Close the document, save and upload to SharePoint.
6. Document should now inherit the sites properties.
