Link to Document in Browser

Summary: Your library is set to open in the client application but you want the link to one file to open in the browser. One file you want to share the link so that it opens in the browser in read only mode. Select the option to Open in Word/Excel/Powerpoint online URL to create a view only URL.

Instructions

• Select Open in Word/Excel/Powerpoint online
• Copy the URL that displays in the address bar
• Edit the URL: Remove all the text at the end of the URL until =edit
